• The Advanced Encryption Standard Development Effort
• As part of the ongoing evaluation of the Advanced Encryption Standard candidate algorithms, NIST performed randomness testing for each of the candidate algorithms that were submitted for consideration.

• The ANSI X9.82 Random Number Generation Standard
• In June 1998, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) X9F1 (Financial Services Industry) approved the creation of a standard addressing the needs for random number generation.

• The FIPS 140-2 Cryptographic Module Validation & Testing Program
• In section 4.9.1, Power-Up Tests of the draft FIPS 140-2 document, several of the statistical tests that are prescribed were refined based on comments provided by Dr. Andrew Rukhin.
