1 What makes the OOPic better than any other microcontroller? The OOPic has a unique feature called Virtual Circuits.
2 How much memory does the OOPic have? The OOPic's EEPROM sockets can address up to 65,536 bytes of program space and up to 65,536 bytes of Data Storage. The OOPic can also address up to 393,216 bytes of additional data storage without using up any I/O lines.
3 Do I need to purchase Microsoft's Visual Basic to be able to program the OOPic? No. The OOPic programming software is downloadable free of charge.
4 Can I build my own programming and battery cables?
Where do I get the parts to do so?
Yes. Instructions are provided for building both the programming and the battery cable. The parts can be purchased from most any electronics vendor, including us, or even scavenged from surplus electrical items.
